An Algerian groom charged his wife in court just a day after heir
marriage, accusing her of not looking as pretty as she used to be before the
wedding, and also for cheating him with too much make-up.
The groom sought to be paid $20,000 for damages through psychological
suffering because he was shocked when he got up in the next morning to find his
bride looking so different that he could hardly recognize her after she washed
the make-up off her face.
Newspapers from Algeria quoted the groom swore in court that he even
mistook his wife for a “thief who came to steal his apartment."
