Chandra Bahadur
Dangi, who held the Guinness World Record for shortest man in
the world, has died.
"He will be
remembered forever as an iconic and extraordinary record holder," Guinness
said in a statement.
Dangi, a
Nepalese man, died at age 75 on Thursday evening of an undisclosed
illness at Lyndon B. Johnson Tropical Medical Center in Pago Pago.
He lived in a
remote village around 400 kilometers (248 miles) from Kathmandu, but traveled
the world after he was officially declared the world’s smallest man, posing for
a photograph with world’s tallest man Sultan Kosen in 2013.
