Cruel Whale Slaughter in Faroe Islands leaves the Sea Red

Over 205 whales have been slaughtered in horrifying scenes at Bøur and Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands. Slaughter turned the sea red with blood after locals leap into the water with glee to stab them to death. Although whaling is illegal in Denmark, the annual hunt, known as the grindadráp, is allowed in the Faroe Islands.  The whales were chased from the sea towards the mainland, where the butchers were waiting. Activists who opposed the activity were arrested.
